    A Shahed-style target drone falls toward the ground after being intercepted during Exercise Baltic Trust 2026 at Jaunzemi, Latvia, Aug. 13, 2026. The live intercept was one of several counter-drone demonstrations conducted before an audience of senior NATO officers, allied military leaders and defense industry partners. Baltic Trust brought together NATO forces, allied nations and industry to test emerging counter-drone capabilities and strengthen the alliance's ability to detect, track and defeat unmanned aerial threats and prepare for the modern battlefield along its eastern flank.
