TUMON, Guam (Aug. 4, 2026) – Conchita Taitano, vice-chairperson, Board of Directors Port Authority of Guam and president of the Association of Pacific Ports (APP), acknowledges government officials, business leaders, port professionals, military representatives and other regional stakeholders attending the 112th Association of Pacific Ports Annual Conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Guam, Aug. 4.
Taitano recognized the broad participation of partners across the Pacific, including the U.S. military as part of the federal presence supporting Guam and the region.
The conference provides a forum for maritime leaders and stakeholders to strengthen partnerships, exchange best practices and advance resilient port systems that support communities, commerce and security throughout the Pacific.
The Association of Pacific Ports (APP) is a trade and information association founded in 1913 as the Pacific Coast Association of Port Authorities (PCAPA) for the purpose of promoting increased efficiency and effectiveness of the ports of the Pacific.
