A U.S. Army Soldier assigned to 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) fires an M4 carbine during a special reconnaissance program of instruction (POI) at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, July 29, 2026. The POI developed reconnaissance skills to improve situational awareness and support operational decision-making. The training strengthened individual weapons proficiency, speed and accuracy through repetitive, performance-based drills with assigned and mission-specific weapon systems.
