U.S. Airmen assigned to the 156th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron instruct nurses assigned to the Botswana Defence Force on how to prepare a liter for a C-130J Super Hercules at the Charlotte Air National Guard Base, Charlotte, N.C., July 30, 2026. Through the National Guard's State Partnership Program, the 156th AES hosted a base tour highlighting casualty and medical evacuation operations, aeromedical evacuation familiarization and observation of a C-130J Super Hercules aeromedical evacuation mission launch and recovery, fostering medical evacuation interoperability and international partnership between the 156th AES and BDF.
