U.S. Airmen assigned to the 156th Airlift Squadron conduct a tour of a C-17 Globemaster III for nurses assigned to the Botswana Defence Force at the Charlotte Air National Guard Base, Charlotte, N.C., July 29, 2026. Through the National Guard's State Partnership Program, the 156th AES hosted a base tour highlighting casualty and medical evacuation operations, aeromedical evacuation familiarization and observation of a C-130J Super Hercules aeromedical evacuation mission launch and recovery, fostering medical evacuation interoperability and international partnership between the 156th AES and BDF.
