Trista Conjelko, the administrator for the Public Works Branch at Marine Corps Base Quantico, speaks about her time working with retired U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Kirk Jansen, the deputy of public works for MCB Quantico, during his retirement ceremony at Little Hall on MCB Quantico, Virginia, July 29, 2026. Jansen retired after completing a total of 44 years of dedicated service to the Marine Corps. During the ceremony, he was recognized for his efforts in fostering a culture of professionalism and innovation, and was presented with the Meritorious Civilian Service Award, the Secretary of the Navy Award and a retirement certificate.
