Rct. William Catlett, 26, carries Rct. Peter Kelson, 22, both with Platoon 2056, Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, during a combat fitness test July 16, 2013, on Parris Island, S.C. The test was specifically designed to evaluate strength, stamina, agility and coordination as well as overall anaerobic capacity. Catlett is a native of Richmond, Va., and Kelson is a native on Fredericksburg, Va. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 2, 2013. Approximately 20,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 13 weeks of rigorous, transformative training.
