U.S. Army Warrant Officer 1 Michael J. The tail rotor counteracts the torque of the main rotor and keeps the aircraft stable in flight, making it one of the components crews check before flying. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO Allies.
