119th Wing Airmen Slash Flowable Fill Bag

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Nicholas Lepine, an engineering technician with the 119th Civil Engineer Squadron, 119th Wing, North Dakota Air National Guard, and U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Soren Hoekstra, a structural maintenance specialist with the same unit, use the "Slash and Splash" method to backfill a crater with flowable fill material during Exercise AGILE HOOLIGAN in Fargo, N.D., June 9, 2026. Each bag of flowable fill material weighed roughly 3,000 pounds, enough to fully backfill a single crater before capping. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Tech. Sgt. Ellen Solberg)
