Fort Bragg, NC – Recently, U.S. Army Special Operations Civil Affairs soldiers move a simulated casualty to safety under fire during Tactical Combat Casualty Care, or TCCC, honing their ability to provide immediate lifesaving care while navigating hostile environments and maintaining unit cohesion during a training certification exercise, or CERTEX. The CERTEX focuses on Tactical Combat Casualty Care, or TCCC, readiness, reacting to small arms fire and ambush scenarios, and preparing soldiers to identify and mitigate civil network vulnerabilities, manage crises, practice civil-military coordination, and demonstrate the ability to build trust, and protect critical infrastructure to support civilian and military resilience in unstable and/or hostile environments.
