Forest Service law enforcement officers patrol Nevada Beach on the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit July 4, 2026, as more than 327,000 visitors gather for Fourth of July celebrations. Thirty-one law enforcement officers and special agents reported for duty during the holiday weekend to support activities at beaches and campgrounds across the basin and to assist state and county law enforcement agencies in responding to emergencies and directing traffic.
