Two U.S. Army soldiers in OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) uniforms are performing a medical training exercise on a realistic human patient simulator/mannequin placed on a military litter/stretcher. The mannequin is equipped with an airway tube and appears to have simulated injuries, while the soldiers wear medical gloves and work with various medical supplies. Two additional soldiers observe in the background of what appears to be a military medical simulation training room.

    Blanchfield Army Community Hospital

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital’s Education and Staff Development team recently conducted Delayed Evacuation Casualty Management (DECM) training for medics from the 2nd Mobile Brigade Combat Team and BACH. The hands-on training reinforces the skills needed to provide prolonged casualty care when evacuation is delayed or resources are limited.

By building confidence and strengthening lifesaving capabilities, this training helps ensure our medical teams are prepared to deliver exceptional care whenever and wherever it’s needed.
