The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Far East District (USACE FED) officially turned over a $130 million Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing (UEPH) barracks project to U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys, July 8, 2026. In collaboration with the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of National Defense – Defense Installations Agency, the new barracks can accommodate more than 900 service members. These suite-style facilities offer private and shared spaces that promote comfort and connection. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is projected for later this year. (U.S. Army photo by Rachel Napolitan)
