NORFOLK, Va. (June 11, 2026) Rear Adm. Neil Koprowski, commander, Expeditionary Strike Group TWO (ESG 2), awards a coin to Aviation Maintenance Administrationman Airman Apprentice Jose Sanchezcasas, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) during a ship visit, June 11, 2026. Sanchezcasas received the recognition due to his excellent work as a logs and records clerk. The U.S. Navy’s east coast lead for amphibious operations and expertise, ESG 2 provides timely, operational, amphibious expertise in support of national tasking to sustain maritime security and defense of the nation.
