KINGS BAY, Ga. (June 5, 2026) – Dan Vaccaro, a technical evaluator in SWFLANT’s Executive Department, assists a child with testing their ground force lift skimmer during the annual “Young Minds at Work (YMAW)” event at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia, June 5. YMAW is a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) event hosted by Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic (SWFLANT) and Lockheed Martin, and provides interactive learning experiences for children of military and civilian employees in grades K-12. SWFLANT is one of two sites responsible for the Navy’s strategic assets.
