U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 29th Infantry Division participate in a ceremony honoring the 90th Infantry Division June 5, 2026, in Picauville, France. The formation marched from the Picauville Town Hall to a monument dedicated to the 90th Infantry Division, known as the “Tough ’Ombres,” which fought through Normandy following the D-Day landings. The ceremony paid tribute to the division’s Soldiers and their role in the liberation of the region during World War II. More than 600 U.S. service members, including 30 assigned to the 29th Infantry Division, are in Normandy to commemorate the 82nd anniversary of the D-Day landings.
