The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Color Guard participates in a tribute honoring two American nurses, Kenneth J. Moore and Robert E. Wright, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, for their service during World War II, Angoville-au-Plain, France, June 6, 2026. The Toccoa monument links the training of American paratroopers in Georgia, where the 501st PIR was formed, to their actions in Normandy with the 101st ABN after the D-Day landings.
