Brendan McLane, commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, speaks during the reestablishment ceremony for Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activity (SIMA) San Diego June 4, 2026. During the ceremony, Capt. Bill Albert assumed command of SIMA San Diego. The mission of Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet is to man, train, and equip the Surface Force to provide fleet commanders with credible naval power to control the sea and project power ashore.
