CORONADO, Ca. (May 28, 2026) - Vice Adm. Brendan McLane, commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, delivers remarks during the change of command ceremony for the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25) May 28, 2026. During the ceremony, Capt. Will Carr relieved Capt. Andrew Koy as commanding officer of Somerset. The mission of Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet is to man, train, and equip the Surface Force to provide fleet commanders with credible naval power to control the sea and project power ashore.
