NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO (May 27, 2026) - Vice Adm. Brendan McLane, commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet (CNSP), left, presents a challenge coin to Cryptologic Technician (Technical) 3rd Class Sebastian Cardozo, assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stockdale (DDG 106), during a visit to the ship May 27. In addition to recognizing Sailors for excellence, McLane spoke with command leadership about the ship's recent return to homeport following a seven-month deployment to the U.S. 4th Fleet area of operations. The mission of Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet is to man, train, and equip the Surface Force to provide fleet commanders with credible naval power to control the sea and project power ashore.
