United Nations Command Honor Guard Company retire the colors during an interment ceremony for retired Dutch Army Col. Jaap Constandse at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Korea (UNMCK), May 14, 2026. The solemn ceremony included representatives from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Republic of Korea government officials, United Nations Command personnel and allied military representatives honoring Constandse’s legacy and service during the Korean War. CNFK is the U.S. Navy’s representative in the Republic of Korea, sharing leadership and expertise in naval matters to improve institutional and operational effectiveness between the two navies and to strengthen collective security efforts in Korea and the region.
