The ceremony honored Constandse’s service during the Korean War and fulfilled his final wish to be laid to rest alongside fellow veterans who served on the Korean Peninsula. Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Korea participated in the ceremony representing United Nations Command leadership. CNFK is the U.S. Navy’s representative in the Republic of Korea, sharing leadership and expertise in naval matters to improve institutional and operational effectiveness between the two navies and to strengthen collective security efforts in Korea and the region.
