Tyler Vasquez, 176th Logistics Readiness squadron fuels management specialist, connects equipment to an F-16 Fighting Falcon assigned to the 18th Fighter Interceptor Squadron during a forward arming and refueling point operation at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, May 15, 2026. A FARP operation allows aircraft to quickly refuel and rearm near operational areas, which reduces turnaround time, supports sustained operations and amplifies airpower lethality in austere environments.
