Unit members from U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s J018 reserve detachment stand by for the order to approach their targets in unison while firing during rifle action stages at the Marine Corps Pu’uloa Range Training Facility in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. Twenty-three sailors from USINDOPACOM’s J018 and J3 units participated in small arms training using M18 pistols and M4A1 rifles equipped with combat optics and noise suppressors to boost their warfighting readiness. USINDOPACOM is committed to enhancing stability in the Indo-Pacific region by promoting security cooperation, encouraging peaceful development, responding to contingencies, deterring aggression, and when necessary, prevailing in conflict.
