Marine Corps Combat Marksmanship Coach and Trainer Sgt. Mark Irons praises Yeoman 2nd Class Shawn Harris’ excellent shot groupings during a qualification fire with the M18 pistol at the Marine Corps Pu’uloa Range Training Facility in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. Harris qualified as an expert marksman on both the handgun and M4A1 rifle. Twenty-three sailors from U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s J018 and J3 reserve detachments completed small arms training to boost warfighting readiness. USINDOPACOM is committed to enhancing stability in the Indo-Pacific region by promoting security cooperation, encouraging peaceful development, responding to contingencies, deterring aggression, and when necessary, prevailing in conflict.
