A shell casing ejects from Cmdr. Krystle Kageyama’s M18 pistol during a familiarization fire at the Marine Corps Pu’uloa Range Training Facility in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. Twenty-three sailors from U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s J018 and J3 reserve detachments completed small arms training with handguns and M4A1 rifles fitted with combat optics and suppressors to boost warfighting readiness.
