NAVAL STATION MAYPORT, Fla. (May 15, 2026) - Jay Collins, Florida Lieutenant Governer, speaks during the 39th annual USS Stark memorial ceremony at Naval Station Mayport, May 15, 2026. While in the Persian Gulf, the Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate USS Stark (FFG 31) was struck by two Iraqi Exocet missiles on May 17, 1987, killing 37 Sailors and wounding 21.
