NAVAL STATION MAYPORT, Fla. (May 15, 2026) - A survivor from the Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate USS Stark (FFG 31) speaks during the 39th annual USS Stark memorial ceremony at Naval Station Mayport, May 15, 2026. While in the Persian Gulf, the Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate was struck by two Iraqi Exocet missiles on May 17, 1987, killing 37 Sailors and wounding 21.
