The Honorable Bill White, U.S. Ambassador to Belgium, lays a coin at the memorial site during the
Wereth 11 memorial observance May 9, Wereth, Belgium. The ceremony
was to honor the lives and memories of 11 African American Soldiers from the 333rd
Field Artillery Regiment that was captured, tortured and killed by the Nazis during the
battle of the Bulge.
