U.S. Air Force Lt Col. Adam Bennett, the incoming commander of the 13th Expeditionary Combat Weather Squadron (ECWS), receives the squadron guidon from U.S. Air Force Col. Michael Hayek, commander of 4th Air Support Operations Group, signifying the passing of authority, during a change of command ceremony at Camp Kosciuszko, Poland, April 23, 2026. The 13th ECWS, out of Storck Barracks Airfield in Illesheim, Germany, provides command and control for weather airmen deployed to European nations or forward operating sites in support of the U.S. Army’s Regionally Allocated Forces. These Airmen provide integrated weather support for V Corps units and U.S. Army airfields that carry out rotary winged and fixed wing operations.
