Michael Hayek, commander of 4th Air Support Operations Group, signifying his relinquishment of command, during a change of command ceremony at Camp Kosciuszko, Poland, April 23, 2026. The 13th ECWS, out of Storck Barracks Airfield in Illesheim, Germany, provides command and control for the weather Airmen deployed to European nations or forward operating sites in support of the U.S. Army’s Regionally Allocated Forces. These airmen provide integrated weather support to V Corps units and U.S. Army airfields that carry out rotary winged and fixed wing operations.
