Combat Logistics Battalion 24 Hones Medical Readiness in Nordic Environments

U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Caleb Hinson, a motor vehicle operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 24, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, participates in an improvised cervical collar demonstration in Værnes, Norway, April 22, 2026. Hinson participated in the demonstration while leading a casualty evacuation class during exercise Aurora as part of Sword 26. CLB-24 practices casualty evacuation skills to ensure the highest level of medical readiness while forward deployed. U.S. Marines and Sailors with 2nd MLG are participating in Aurora as part of the larger Sword 26 series of linked multinational exercises. This participation directly supports NATO's Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative concept, validates defense plans, builds a unified lethal force, and strengthens deterrence.
