Combat Logistics Battalion 24 Hones Medical Readiness in Nordic Environments

U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Joseph Bunch, a combat engineer, carries Lance Cpl. John Corbin, a bulk fuel specialist, both with Combat Logistics Battalion 24, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, while attending a casualty evacuation class in Værnes, Norway, April 22, 2026. The Marines attended the class during exercise Aurora as part of Sword 26. CLB-24 practices casualty evacuation skills to ensure the highest level of medical readiness while forward deployed. U.S. Marines and Sailors with 2nd MLG are participating in Aurora as part of the larger Sword 26 series of linked multinational exercises. This participation directly supports NATO's Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative concept, validates defense plans, builds a unified lethal force, and strengthens deterrence. Bunch is a native of Louisiana. Corbin is a native of Tennessee. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Brady Hathaway)
