Gallegos, outgoing commander, stand at attention during their change of command ceremony for
Headquarters Company, III Marine Support Battalion (MSB), III Marine Expeditionary Force
(MEF) at Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan, April 14, 2026. The ceremony marked the transfer of
authority from Gallegos to Santiago. III MSB is a key part of III MEF’s forward presence in the
