Frank Axelsen, commanding officer of Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Pensacola, pins a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal on Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Julienna Bauman assigned to NMRTC Pensacola, during an awards ceremony at Naval Hospital Pensacola’s command theater, March 13, 2026. Bauman demonstrated superior performance from May 2024 to April 2026, maintaining daily operations in support of 11 officers caring for 9,000 beneficiaries and contributing to a successful 2024 Joint Commission reaccreditation. She also strengthened command readiness and morale by facilitating four focus groups as a Command Resilience Team member and helping raise $11,177 as a Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society representative.
