260221-N-LR905-1287 NUUK, Greenland (Feb. 21, 2026) – A rigid-hull inflatable boat from the Royal Danish Navy offshore patrol vessel HDMS VAEDDEREN (F 359) approaches the Virginia-class fast-attack submarine USS Delaware (SSN 791) during a personnel transfer. Delaware is operating in the U.S. Naval Forces Northern Command (NAVNORTH) area of operations. NAVNORTH is the maritime component of U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) and is responsible for homeland defense, maritime security, and theater security cooperation in the Arctic and North American maritime approaches.
