GDYNIA, Poland - Polish Navy Capt. Artur Kolaczynski, chief of staff, Maritime Component Command, moderates a panel discussion on continental and subregional models for future maritime cooperation during the 22nd Regional Alumni Symposium in Gdynia, Poland, on April 1, 2026. The regional alumni symposia, held approximately annually with regional partner navies, are open to all graduates of the college and reinforce the relationships built among U.S. and international military leaders during their enrollment. The event in Gdynia attracted more than 90 attendees from 19 European and North American countries, including at least 17 flag officers – navy admirals or their equivalents. Established in 1884, NWC is the oldest institution of its kind in the world. The college delivers excellence in education, research, and outreach, informing today’s decision makers, educating tomorrow’s leaders, and engaging partners and allies on all matters of naval power in order to preserve the peace, respond in crisis, and win decisively in war.
