Concrete placements underway for a container storage shed on a $115 million, two-story project by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Far East District at Camp Humphreys, South Korea, Dec. 23, 2025. Work includes installing revetment walls, or “cells,” designed to protect personnel conducting aircraft testing and maintenance. These structures will be filled with sand to provide a cost-effective barrier against high-speed debris. Following the concrete foundation, construction will continue with steel supports, panel installation, gravel and filter placement, sand fill, and a final concrete cap.
