U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Brooklyn Purdy, a medic for Recovery Team 3, part of Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency Joint Field Activity 26-3LA, carries the potential remains recovered during the activity out of the room at the conclusion of a Remembrance Ceremony held to honor a potential U.S. service member who has been unaccounted for from the Vietnam war in Pakse, Laos, March 31, 2026. Purdy is a Short Term Individual Augmentee to DPAA from Expeditionary Medical Unit 7, attached to Camp Pendleton, California.
