U.S. Airmen assigned to the 165th Airlift Wing (AW), Georgia Air National Guard, and Chatham County personnel pose in front of the 165th Fire Station, during a base tour at the Savannah Air National Guard Base, Georgia, March 30, 2026. During the visit, participants toured facilities, observed airlift operations, received mission briefings, and flew on a C-130J Super Hercules to gain firsthand insight into the 165 AW’s role in national defense, strengthening ties between Airmen and the community and equipping civic leaders to serve as informed advocates of the Georgia Air National Guard mission.
