Chatham County personnel prepare to load onto a C-130J Super Hercules assigned to the 165th Airlift Wing (AW), Georgia Air National Guard, during a base tour and civic leader flight at the Savannah Air National Guard Base, Georgia, March 30, 2026. During the visit, participants toured facilities, observed airlift operations, received mission briefings, and flew on a C-130J to gain firsthand insight into the 165 AW’s role in national defense, strengthening ties between Airmen and the community and equipping civic leaders to serve as informed advocates of the Georgia Air National Guard mission.
