U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Shanera Coombs, food service specialist with Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group gives a kitchen tour of the recently-built Expeditionary Dining Facility to Lt. Gen. Roger Turner, III Marine Expeditionary Force Commander, and Sgt. Maj. Christopher Adams, III MEF sergeant major, during the Korean Marine Exchange Program 26.1 and exercise Freedom Shield 26 in Pohang, Republic of Korea, March 18, 2026. KMEP is a semi-annual exercise that provides opportunities for ROK Marine Corps and U.S. Marine Corps units to train together, improving their combined capabilities to deter threats and maintain peace on the Korean Peninsula.
