Soldiers from the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and a bugler from the U.S. Army Band, “Pershing’s Own” conduct military funeral honors for U.S. Army Cpl. Thaddeus Pecorak at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, March 6, 2026. Serving with the Army for a little over three years, Pecorak fought as an armored infantryman with the 1st Armored Division in North Africa, Italy and Germany during WWII. He passed in 2024 at the age of 101 and was inurned with his wife, Phyllis, whom he was married to for 64 years.
