John Pecorark is presented with the U.S. flag from the funeral service for his father, U.S. Army Cpl. Thaddeus Pecorak, in Section 71 of Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, March 6, 2026. Serving with the Army for a little over three years, Cpl. Pecorak fought as an armored infantryman with the 1st Armored Division in North Africa, Italy and Germany during WWII.
