For one day, members of the public had an opportunity to lay a flower at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to honor the sacrifice of our nation’s fallen.
This day pays homage to Decoration Day, now known as Memorial Day, when Americans would decorate the graves of those who fought and died in the Civil War.
