Toshikatsu Musha, commanding general of the Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade, observes members of the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force conduct training in close air support with the supporting arms virtual trainer (SAVT) as part of Iron Fist 26 on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 23, 2026. The training was held with the aim to increase interoperability between U.S. and JGSDF personnel during close air support missions.
