Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, (NAVFAC) Europe, Africa, Central (EURAFCENT) announces Jeremey Jaycox, Facilities Maintenance and Services Branch Head, at Public Works Department (PWD) Naples, Italy, as the 2026 4th Quarter Supervisor Civilian of the Quarter. Mr. Jaycox consistently exceeded expectations in managing and improving PWD Naples's response to emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance work orders. Following the furlough and lapse in appropriations, he efficiently cleared backlogs of work orders, purchase requests, and preventive maintenance. He led his team to develop an in-house solution for air conditioning repairs at the Capodichino training pool, saving over $150,000 and reducing facility downtime. He demonstrated initiative and sound judgment in resource management by collaborating with Supply Chain Management to secure alternative procurement sources for high-use materials such as freon, saving over $3,000 per order. Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Europe, Africa, Central supports fleet commanders by providing engineering assessments and agile acquisition strategy, constructing and maintaining shore infrastructure, and maximizing force readiness to enhance warfighter capability.
