A drone operator with U.S. Special Operations Command Europe’s Theater Edge Innovation Lab checks flight data after a heavy unmanned aerial resupply test flight during Exercise Deep Strike at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center near Hohenfels, Germany, Feb. 18, 2026. During the flight, the drone delivered supplies to a team with 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), U.S. Special Operations Command Europe, who traversed 150 kilometers through a contested environment while evading aerial drones and conventional forces. SOCEUR conducted the first iteration of special operations deep strike lanes, a pivotal training initiative designed to enhance force readiness by operating in geographically dynamic and complex scenarios, including denied environments with contested electronic warfare spaces.
