A team from the U.S. Special Operations Command Europe Theater Edge Innovation Lab, alongside drone designers, prepare for a heavy unmanned aerial resupply test flight in preparation for Exercise Deep Strike at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center near Hohenfels, Germany, Feb. 18, 2026. This drone delivered supplies to a team with 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) who executed a 150-kilometer undetected movement through a contested environment while evading aerial drones and conventional forces. At JMRC, SOCEUR conducted the first iteration of special operations deep strike lanes, a pivotal training initiative designed to enhance force readiness by operating in geographically dynamic and complex scenarios, including denied environments with contested electronic warfare spaces.
