U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Jose Corona, a native of San Jose, California, assigned to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, prepares to throw a shot put March 4, 2026, at Omar Bradley Park, Fort Bliss, Texas, during the 2026 Army Recovery Care Program’s Army Trials. About 80 wounded, ill and injured active-duty Soldiers and veterans are competing in the following adaptive sports: archery, cycling, field, indoor rowing, powerlifting, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, track, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair rugby.
